Preparing for a Clinical Research Career in Nephrology
Renal fellows and young faculty members met last fall in Bethesda, MD, for a workshop that focused on building the skills needed for a successful clinical research career in nephrology. Veteran researchers delivered state-of-the-science lectures and served as mentors during training sessions in clinical research and clinical trial design. Attendees also participated in a journal club and reviewed clinical trial applications at a mock study section meeting like those conducted at the National Institutes of Health.
