Urinary Incontinence Awareness Campaign Focuses on Minority Women
Bladder control problems can affect women from all backgrounds. African American and Hispanic American/Latino women are especially vulnerable to the urinary complications that accompany diabetes. For this reason, NKUDIC is launching a urinary incontinence awareness campaign to reach African American and Hispanic American/Latino women. As a part of this campaign, NKUDIC has translated seven booklets related to urinary incontinence and bladder control into Spanish. These booklets are designed to explain what can cause bladder control problems and what can be done to treat them.
